My Wagon
This webpage is dedicated to the 6th love of my life – right behind God, my wife, and three kids.
This car started its life in 1988 as a GL-10 Wagon, EA82t, 5 speed, with full time AWD.
I bought it in 2005. As far as I can tell, I am the 2nd registered owner.
When I got it home, I pulled the drive train out – the engine, the transmission, the whole rear sub-frame, and all of the front suspension.
It needed a bit more power. I bought a 1996 JDM WRX V-Limited front clip from an importer in Tacoma. In went in a 45K mile EJ20G with matching 4.111:1 5-Speed transmission and a limited slip differential for the rear.
I did the swap in the dead of winter, with my vacation time from work – December 17, 2005, to January 2, 2006.
Ever upgrading, things have changed quite a bit. This car now has a full STI drive-train: EJ257 engine; 6 speed Transmission with Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD); R180 rear diff; Brembo brakes; and last, but not least, the sweet seats.
